Welcome to Anglistentag 2016!
Universität Hamburg’s Department of English and American Studies is delighted to be hosting this year’s annual conference for the Deutscher Anglistenverband. Anglistentag 2016 addresses ongoing debates on five contemporary topics in English literature and linguistics. For more details on these topics and this year’s social events, please read through our preliminary conference programme. We are also happy to announce that Anglistentag 2016 will be hosting a total of three workshops this year.
We are also very excited to announce this year’s keynote speakers: Xiaolu Guo, Dan McIntyre and Richard Utz. For more information on their talks and their fields of expertise, please read about them under Keynotes.
To register for the conference, please fill out the registration form and send it to the email address shown on the form. Late bird registration is now possible until September 22, 2016. Because Hamburg is host to a number of large events in the month of September, we kindly ask you to register as soon as possible. This will help us greatly in organising the conference warming, the conference dinner and the excursion. And in this regard, we also strongly encourage you to book your hotel rooms as soon as possible as you may otherwise have difficulties finding accommodation. And finally, please peruse our Getting to Hamburg page to find information on getting to the conference venue at Universität Hamburg’s main campus. We look forward to seeing you in Hamburg soon!
